About Scorpion Automotive
Scorpion Automotive is a UK-based manufacturer of stolen vehicle tracking and fleet management systems. Our products are fitted by main dealer networks and independent installers across the UK, and we're now expanding into mainland Europe. We need driven, French-speaking salespeople to help us build the France market from scratch.
The role
You'll be the person responsible for opening up a new European market for Scorpion. That means outbound prospecting, cold calling dealer networks and fleet operators, running product demos, and converting interest into signed agreements. It's hands-on, ground-floor work -- you're building a territory, not managing one someone else created.
Your territory covers France and potentially French-speaking Belgium and Luxembourg. You'll be based in the UK, selling remotely through a mix of calls, video demos, and email, with travel to your territory for trade shows and key meetings (expect 2-4 trips per year).
Market context
French business culture values relationship-building and professional credibility. Expect longer sales cycles initially -- buyers will want to know who they're dealing with before discussing product details. Formal communication matters, especially in early interactions.
What you'll do day-to-day
- Prospect and cold-call potential dealer partners and fleet operators across France
- Run product demos over video call (and face-to-face at events like Equip Auto Paris and regional French automotive events)
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to signed dealer agreement
- Work with our UK technical team to support dealer onboarding and early installations
- Feed market intelligence back to the business -- competitor pricing, local regulations, buyer objections, what's landing and what isn't
- Hit monthly and quarterly targets for new dealer sign-ups and unit activations
- Keep CRM records clean and up to date (we use Salesforce)
What we're looking for:
Requirements
- Native or business-fluent French (written and spoken) -- plus strong English
- 2-4 years of B2B sales experience with a demonstrable track record of outbound prospecting and cold calling
- Evidence of consistently hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing a full sales cycle from first contact to close
- Comfortable selling technical products -- you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to grasp how vehicle tracking and telematics systems work well enough to explain value to a dealer principal
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own pipeline and time independently
- Right to work in the UK (we can sponsor a Skilled Worker visa if needed)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in automotive, telematics, insurance, or fleet management
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM
- A second European language (covers more territory and accelerates your progression)
