Hours of work - 40 hours per week, rotating shifts 6am-2.30pm; 2pm-10.30pm. Overtime available at x 1.5.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the completion of maintenance tasks in a reliable and effective manner, to ensure efficient running of all aspect of the business. Develop performance improving equipment modifications and contribute to the completion of engineering projects. To carry out duties in accordance with the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and your colleagues.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure that planned maintenance is implemented and applied to all the plant and equipment throughout your designated areas to achieve maximum plant efficiency and minimise plant breakdown.
- To prioritise unplanned work as required, minimising impact on efficiency.
- Regularly review, in conjunction with Production Managers the process efficiency of plant and equipment to contribute to overall factory objectives, where necessary proposing new production methods.
- At the start and end of shift ensure your toll box is complete and fit for purpose.
- Order parts required and maintain spares to minimise both cost and downtime.
- To have a good working relationship with both Operational and Technical Teams to enable effective communication to take place.
- Manage subcontractors on site and relevant work permits.
- Monitor and report all significant downtime and raise any issues to the Manager concerned
