Part-Time Cleaner – Children’s Nursery
Location: Puddleducks Wrest Park, Silsoe, MK45
Hours: Part-time – 9 hours per week
Schedule: 3 evenings per week or weekend, 3 hours per shift (outside nursery hours)
We are a friendly and welcoming children’s nursery looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our children and staff.
About the Role
You will be responsible for cleaning the nursery premises outside of business hours (the nursery operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm). This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent, part-time work.
Key Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning of playrooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, offices, and communal spaces
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Emptying bins and replenishing cleaning supplies as needed
- Following health, safety, and hygiene standards suitable for a childcare setting
- Ensuring the nursery is left clean, secure, and ready for the next day
Working Hours
- 3 days per week
- 3 hours per shift
- Outside of 8:00am–6:00pm Monday to Friday (evenings)
- Days can be agreed with the successful candidate
Requirements
- A valid DBS check or registration on the DBS Update Service (essential)
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (especially in schools, nurseries, or similar settings)
- Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently
- High attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Understanding of hygiene standards in environments used by children
- Be able to reliably commute
