We are currently seeking passionate and knowledgeable GCSE Maths Tutors to join our team and help students build confidence, improve performance and achieve their academic goals.
The Role
As an Online GCSE Maths Tutor, you will deliver high-quality lessons to students through one or more of our tuition services:
1. Standard One-to-One Tuition
Personalised lessons tailored to individual student needs, learning styles and academic goals.
2. Special Exam Booster Tuition
Focused revision and exam preparation sessions designed to improve exam technique, strengthen weak areas and maximise GCSE results.
3. Small Group Tuition
Interactive online sessions with small groups of students working at a similar level, encouraging collaboration and engagement while maintaining personalised support.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress and helping learners achieve measurable improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online GCSE Maths lessons.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Support students with exam preparation and revision techniques.
- Identify knowledge gaps and create targeted learning plans.
- Provide constructive feedback and progress updates.
- Set and review homework where appropriate.
- Maintain professional communication with parents and the Tuition To Advance team.
- Uphold safeguarding and student welfare standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous tutoring, teaching or mentoring experience.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable online teaching environment.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths in schools.
- Familiarity with AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
- Experience delivering online tuition.
- Examiner or assessment experience.
