Job Summary
We are seeking a level 2 or level 3 dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience in managing and caring for children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within our nursery community.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Drive initiatives that enhance children's experiences within the nursery setting.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to build rapport with children and parents alike.
- Leadership skills to guide less experienced staff members when necessary.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in childcare practices.
