North Indian Cook / Chef (Experienced in Authentic North Indian Cuisine)

We are seeking a skilled North IndianTandoor Chef to become part of our kitchen team at a high-volume Indian restaurant in Pinner. The successful candidate will have solid experience in traditional North Indian tandoor cooking and a genuine passion for creating authentic, high-quality dishes with consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of tandoori items, including breads (naan, roti), kebabs, tikkas, and grilled dishes
Operate and maintain the clay tandoor oven in a safe and efficient manner
Marinate meats, paneer, and vegetables in line with established recipes
Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, quality, and presentation
Uphold strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in accordance with UK regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and proper stock rotation
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team on menu planning and daily operations
Control portions effectively and reduce food wastage
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar role within an Indian restaurant
Strong knowledge of North Indian cuisine and traditional tandoor techniques
Understanding of UK food safety regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Legal right to work in the UK
