Due to continued growth, Ryans Solicitors is seeking experienced Litigation Executives, Fee Earners and Solicitors to join its Motor Finance Litigation Department.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of PCP, HP and Motor Finance claims relating to undisclosed commissions, secret commissions, broker commissions and other consumer finance disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of PCP and Motor Finance claims.
- Reviewing finance agreements and commission documentation.
- Assessing liability and claim prospects.
- Drafting Letters of Claim and settlement correspondence.
- Conducting disclosure exercises and reviewing evidence.
- Preparing witness statements and litigation documents.
- Preparing claims for settlement, mediation and litigation.
- Issuing court proceedings where appropriate.
- Managing defended claims through the litigation process.
- Liaising with clients, lenders, brokers, counsel and third parties.
- Maintaining compliance with FCA and procedural requirements.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience handling PCP, Motor Finance, Consumer Credit or Financial Mis-selling claims.
- Experience drafting Letters of Claim.
- Disclosure review and evidence analysis.
- Strong understanding of consumer litigation procedures.
- Excellent organisational and client care skills.
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload.
Desirable Experience
- Motor finance litigation.
- Discretionary Commission Arrangement claims.
- Consumer Credit Act claims.
- Court proceedings and litigation experience.
