Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including food pairings and drink specials, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
- Keep the bar area clean, organised, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Monitor guest behaviour and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in a busy environment.
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
