Overview
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring items are handled safely and correctly.
- Prepare orders accurately for delivery, including packing and organizing packages for efficient route planning.
- Drive a box truck or similar vehicle with manual transmission to deliver products to customers across various locations.
- Follow designated routes, adhering to delivery schedules while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude with clients.
- Assist with warehouse organization, stock rotation, and inventory management to keep the storage area tidy and accessible.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed to load or unload goods safely.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct routine safety checks before and after deliveries to ensure optimal operation.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or logistics is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
- Commercial driving experience, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles, is highly desirable.
- Delivery driver experience, including route planning and customer interaction, is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools will be beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and moving throughout the workday.
- A valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving with experience in manual transmission vehicles.
