At Happy Trails Play, we do things differently.
This is not your typical “bank staff” or casual nursery role.
We are looking for somebody local, reliable, energetic and genuinely flexible — someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-moving environment and can step in during the times nurseries need support the most.

This role is perfect for someone who:
- Wants flexibility without being tied to fixed weekly hours
- Can offer a decent number of hours per week (equally as important as the above!)
- Lives locally to Shinfield / Reading
- Is available during school holidays, summer holidays and peak childcare periods
- Loves working with children and being part of a positive, team-first culture
- Wants to be part of a nursery that is known for creating extraordinary real-life experiences for children
The Key Requirement For This Role
The biggest difference with this opportunity is availability.
We are specifically looking for somebody who can support us during:
- Summer holidays
- Half terms
- Busy seasonal periods
- Staff absence cover
- Additional support days across the nursery - Flexibility is absolutely essential for this position.
We do have plenty of options to pick up regular shifts that suit you!

- Has experience working with children (nursery experience is a must!)
