Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Au Pair to join a welcoming family environment. The successful candidate will provide attentive childcare while immersing themselves in a new cultural experience. Duties
- Assisting with the daily care and supervision of children, including organising activities and ensuring their safety
- Preparing meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary needs
- Supporting children with their homework and educational activities, including teaching basic English or French as needed
- Accompanying children to school, appointments, or recreational activities using personal or family vehicle
- Maintaining a clean and organised play and living area for the children
- Engaging children in educational and recreational activities to promote their development
- Assisting with light household chores related to the children's needs, such as laundry or tidying their rooms
Requirements
- Experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching young children is preferred
- Valid driving licence and confident driving skills for transporting children safely
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French is considered an advantage
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage daily routines effectively
- Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different cultural environments and work independently within a family setting
- Basic first aid knowledge is desirable but not essential
