A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Camden is looking to appoint a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team from September.
This rewarding role involves working closely with children who require additional support to access learning and thrive in the classroom. You will provide a combination of 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural challenges. While the role will be primarily based in Key Stage 1, there may also be opportunities to support pupils in Early Years and Lower Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities - KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
- Delivering targeted interventions and structured small group sessions
- Providing individualised support to help pupils engage positively in lessons
- Encouraging social development, confidence and emotional regulation
- Working alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Successful Candidate Will Have - KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning
