Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
- Manage kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring smooth operation and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in team management, including training and motivating staff
- Knowledge of food preparation methods and cooking techniques across diverse cuisines
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence
- Previous experience in hospitality roles that emphasise attention to detail and high-quality service standards
