Estimating Coordinator – Engineering Services
Waterlooville | Office-based
Full-time, Permanent | Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
£28,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience)
V3 Recruitment is partnering with a growing, project and service-led engineering business based in Waterlooville. Known for quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships, the business is looking to appoint an Estimating Coordinator to take ownership of incoming enquiries and turn them around into clear, accurate quotations, back to the customer without delay. The RoleThis is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of the operation — part estimating, part coordination, part customer management. Once the Sales Team brings in an enquiry, it's handed to you with the customer requirements, site information, photographs, and specifications, and you take it from there: reviewing the scope, costing the replacement parts and equipment, and compiling the quotation that goes back to the customer. No two enquiries are the same, so it suits someone who enjoys variety, solving problems, and owning a workload rather than waiting for direction.
Key Responsibilities Review incoming enquiries from the Sales Team and confirm what each one needs Cost parts, materials, and equipment, and obtain supplier quotations Prepare accurate estimates and compile clear, well-presented client quotations Keep enquiry records accurate and up to date, managing several quotes at once About YouYou'll be an organised, confident communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to hold a lot of project information in your head at once. You're comfortable on the phone, calm when several enquiries are running at the same time, and happy to use your own initiative rather than wait to be told. Previous experience in estimating, project coordination, sales support, or engineering administration is an advantage — but sound judgement, a methodical approach, and a genuine customer focus matter more. Who This Role SuitsThis role suits someone who takes pride in being on top of detail, enjoys coordinating moving parts, and likes being at the centre of a busy operation. You'll thrive here if you prefer a small, supportive team to a large faceless one, want your contribution to be noticed, and are happy owning your workload without close supervision. Who This Role Doesn't SuitThis role is unlikely to suit candidates who want a narrow, single-task position, struggle to juggle quoting and customer calls in the same hour, prefer rigid processes to thinking on their feet, or are looking for a quiet back-office role with minimal customer contact. What's On Offer £28,000 – £36,000 basic salary, depending on experience Friendly, supportive family-run business with no internal politics Genuine variety and ownership in your day-to-day work The chance to represent a respected engineering business with a strong reputation Real opportunity for career progression as the business continues to grow Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In person (office-based, Waterlooville)
