We have 2 supported living homes and require a variety of skilled and experience staff covering a broad spectrum of care needs. We offer staff both early and late starts to encourage a work-life balance. The roles cover 3 services, so we only need you to have one of the following care experience to support our clients along with mandatory training, Mental Health, Epilepsy, Learning Disability and Positive Behaviour Support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help individuals with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Support individuals in participating in recreational and social activities
- Assist with medication management and administration
- Provide transportation to appointments, outings, and community events
- Document and maintain accurate records of individual progress and activities on care system
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of person-centred care and support principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with individuals with disabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Minimum of 2 years experience in working with Epilepsy
-Minimum of 2 years experience in mental health, complex needs
-We also require staff trained and experienced with dealing with behaviour that challenges.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed on rotation
