About us
Balloonista is a luxury balloon décor and installation company working with high-end hotels, corporate clients, and private clients across London. We are a small, hands-on team and we take our work seriously. Everyone here does what needs doing.
The role
You will support balloon installations from workshop to finished site. This means inflating, packing, and preparing materials, loading and unloading the van, driving to event locations, building installations on site, working on step ladders, and taking down and returning kit afterwards. You will work in premium venues and represent Balloonista professionally in front of clients at every stage.
Non-negotiables
These are essential requirements for the role. Please do not apply if any of these are not possible for you:
- Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a company van in London
- Able to climb and work safely on a step ladder
- Able to lift and carry equipment crates regularly
Hours and availability
This is flexible, event-based work. Hours vary week to week and are not guaranteed in advance. Shifts include evenings, early mornings, weekends, Sundays, and occasional bank holidays. Prompt responses between bookings are part of the role.
What we are looking for
- Physically fit and comfortable with sustained manual work
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive
- Calm and professional in premium client-facing environments
- Able to follow a brief and work independently once shown what is needed
- Genuinely available for evenings, weekends, and early starts
This role is not suitable if:
- You need fixed or guaranteed hours each week
- You are only available during standard weekday daytime hours
- You are not comfortable with regular physical work
- Punctuality, attendance, or communication are not consistent strengths
- You are not comfortable representing a business in front of clients in upscale settings

Pay: £13 - £17 per hour
Location: Workshop based in Orpington / Bromley area. Installations across London and surrounding areas.
