Lecturer/Trainer Assessor – Plumbing & Gas
We are looking for a Lecturer/Trainer Assessor in Plumbing & Gas to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 plus market force supplement.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out formal scheduled teaching.
- To act as a personal tutor to a group/s of students.
- To develop and prepare learning and assessment materials, current to the industry.
- To mark students’ work and examinations, moderation and verification, timely and efficiently.
- To train, support and assess students on workplace programmes to deliver high quality outcomes, this will include some in-house delivery.
- To carry out tutorials and student assessments timely and accurately within deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 2 English (GCSE A-C, or equivalent) and Minimum Level 2 Maths (GCSE, A-C, or equivalent)
- Hold a teaching or training qualification, e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training or PTLLS or be willing to work towards within 12 months.
- Hold an Assessor Award (D32/33 or A1 or TAQA) or be willing to work towards within a set period.
- Hold a vocational qualification minimum Level 3 in Plumbing & Gas
- Possess a full understanding of all aspects of Plumbing & Gas qualifications underpinned by relevant industrial experience.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge of current and new technologies aligned to industry standards.
- Able to evidence successful experience of teaching, training or assessing groups of students.
