Job Overview
We are seeking front of house members at all ages and stages. From part time evening work to full time management positions. We are the only restaurant in Scotland committed to using 100% Scottish produce and are currently ranked as the no.1 restaurant in Edinburgh by the Time Out editorial team. We're a Michelin Guide restaurant and intend to go much further. We're looking for team members who have the drive, desire and enthusiasm to provide guests with a Michelin Starred experience in a relaxed, non stuffy and truly Scottish way.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally at all stages of their visit, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage guest flow efficiently, coordinating with the kitchen to facilitate smooth transitions throughout the venue or event.
- Oversee course flow, wine pairings, reservations, and seating arrangements to optimise guest experience, operational efficiency and cover capacity.
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Join an exceptionally experienced team that thrives on providing guidance and support to each other in order to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house areas, including reception, waiting zones, and entrances.
- Collaborate with management on operational planning to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Team orientated - candidates must work well with other people and balance their own insights against the collective knowledge of the rest of the team.
- Proven experience within a hospitality or guest services environment (ideally Michelin level).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices is essential.

Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
