The Role
We are currently recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants to work across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Positions are available for both General Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants providing SEN support.
We can offer flexible opportunities including full-time or part-time hours, as well as short-term or long-term placements. These roles are to start either as soon as possible, or September 2026, and may lead to a permanent position for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in the classroom, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Providing targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), where required
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Assisting with preparation of resources and classroom activities
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)
- Is patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- SEN experience or an interest in supporting SEN pupils is desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE) are beneficial but not required
