About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Coach to deliver fun and energetic Mini Athletics sessions for children aged 2–8 years old. You’ll play a key role in building children’s confidence, fitness, and love of sport through exciting games and activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about sport, coaching, or working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead coach with engaging sessions that develop children’s fundamental movement skills.
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Be the main point of contact for parents and guardians during sessions.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are followed.
- Represent Mini Athletics in a positive and professional way.
Key Requirements:
- Confident, energetic, and great with young children.
- Reliable and committed to working Sunday mornings.
- Previous experience in sport, coaching, teaching, or childcare is an advantage but not essential—training provided.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car.
- Willing to complete a DBS check (can be arranged if not already held).

- Locations: Soar Valley Leisure Centre
- Hours: 3 hours every Sunday morning
- Pay: £15–£18 per hour, depending on experience
