Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This is a multi vacancy role - contract is set at 8 - hours per week with further hours depending on the needs of the business
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
- Process payments securely using the hotel’s booking system
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure a positive experience
- Uphold hotel policies and standards of cleanliness, safety, and security
Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proven experience in hotel reception or guest services is desirable
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for serving diverse guests
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices is preferred
