Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced School Site Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our educational facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities to ensure the smooth functioning of the school environment. This role involves supervising staff, managing projects, and maintaining the site’s safety and compliance standards. The School Site Manager will play a vital role in creating a safe, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the general maintenance and repair of the school premises, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Manage and supervise maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to minimise operational disruptions.
- Coordinate projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and other technical systems to improve site functionality.
- Monitor health and safety compliance across the site, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and policies.
- Organise regular inspections of facilities, identifying areas for improvement or repair.
- Manage budgets related to site operations, procurement of supplies, and equipment upgrades.
- Lead emergency response procedures and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Liaise with school leadership to plan for future development or renovation projects.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a similar environment, preferably in educational or institutional settings.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematics, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising teams or contractors.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in overseeing maintenance schedules and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication across all levels of staff and stakeholders.

Pay: £135.63-£170.79 per day
