Specialist Alarm Services has been involved in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of Staff Attack and Nurse Call systems for over 45 years.
An SAS installation engineer will take a key role within the projects team, enabling the successful completion of contracts, and meeting specific requirements of clients.
Reporting to a site supervisor, they will work in challenging and varied environments all over the UK. From construction sites to occupied ‘live’ healthcare facilities, carrying out all elements required for full installation of SAS systems, while adhering to all applicable regulations.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include containment installation, first fix cabling works, second fix equipment connection, equipment programming, final testing, commissioning, and completion of documentation. Throughout the process of an installation, they will need to be able to work from site or contract drawings and liaise with clients or contractors on site where required.
Ideal candidates for the role will be efficient and adaptable workers with good all-round abilities. Previous installation experience of low voltage systems such as nurse call, staff attack, data networks or fire & security systems required. Full training on requirements for SAS system will be given. They must have good communication skills, be good organisers, be willing to work as part of a team or on their own and be adaptable to new processes.
The successful candidate will be site-based UK wide, working Monday to Friday, 8-30am-5pm. Overtime becomes available when contracted works require this. With a high percentage of works in the south of England the candidate must be prepared to work away from home.
Looking to recruit an experienced installer who may be able to progress to a team leader/supervisor. Full training to be provided to the successful candidate, this will include full product knowledge training, H & S training courses and any site requirement certification, ECS, CITB HSA and/or SSSTS, IPAF etc. Enhanced DBS clearance is required for all site employees and will be applied for by SAS.

Initial salary £29k-£31k dependant on experience. Additional salary payment of £20 per overnight stay. Annual xmas bonus dependent on company and personal performance.
22 days annual leave incremental upon length of service to a maximum of 25 days.
Company Pension scheme with employer contributions incremental upon length of service.
Pay: £29,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
