Overview
We are seeking a self-employed UTR Contractors with a versatile skill set to undertake various technical and manual tasks across multiple projects.
We work in the Playground installation industry, therefore DBS is required.
This role offers flexibility and independence, ideal for experienced tradespeople or individuals with a broad range of practical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship in diverse environments, adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
*Own van & tools is a requirement.
Current order book is very healthy.
Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry, and assembly tasks as required by project specifications
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling to move materials or equipment safely
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery or structural components
- Assist with installation projects, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and standards
- Operate hired plant, diggers and dumpers for example
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, or assembly work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
This role is suited for motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and possess a broad range of practical skills. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while maintaining independence as a self-employed contractor.
* This work would be suitable to UTR persons who are willing to take price work, occasional travel & stay away on distance work, this role could be seasonal depending on our order book.
Pay: From £150.00 per day
