Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an engaging environment where attention to detail and professional communication are essential. Prior office or administrative experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage appointment scheduling using practice management software
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
- Process payments and organise billing procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and stock organisation
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked
- Support the dental team with various administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Proficiency in using computer software, including MS Office applications and dental practice management systems
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to assist patients effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
