The Central Club & Institute is a long-standing, proud hub of the Cefn Fforest community. We provide a warm, safe, and friendly social space for our members and guests to gather, relax, and enjoy great entertainment. We are looking for a dedicated Bar Steward / Stewardess to join us and help maintain the welcoming atmosphere our club is known for.
The Role
As our Bar Steward / Stewardess, you will be the welcoming face of the Central Club. You will manage daily bar operations, serve drinks efficiently, and build great relationships with our members. This hands-on, on-site role is perfect for a reliable professional who takes pride in running a clean, organised, and friendly bar.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and accurately.
- Handle cellar management duties, including changing kegs and line cleaning.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and deliveries.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the bar and lounge.
- Handle cash transactions securely using the till system.
- Open and close the club, ensuring the building is secure.
- Support club events, live entertainment nights, and community functions.
- Onsite working at popular times (Saturday nights, Sunday mornings etc)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience working in a pub, social club, or busy bar.
- Good knowledge of cellar management and beer quality control.
- Friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work without direct supervision.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Understanding of licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
