About the Role
We are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced SEN Teachers to work within supportive and inclusive schools across Tameside. We have opportunities available for both immediate starts and September 2026 placements.
These roles involve working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, delivering tailored lessons, and leading classes to help students achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
We also partner with a number of schools across Tameside and surrounding areas, offering a variety of opportunities including long-term placements, short-term cover, and temp-to-perm positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
- Lead and manage a classroom effectively, creating a positive and structured learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning styles and abilities
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider support staff
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and encourage positive behaviour
- Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
