Optical Assistant / Reception duties ,Optical Advisor4–5 days per week | Chichester
We are looking for an experienced and confident Optical Assistant to join our successful independent practice in the heart of historic Chichester.
We are a small but busy practice offering both NHS and private eye care, with 30-minute and 1-hour testing times in a calm, patient-focused environment.

We stock a wide range of frames to suit all styles, including MOSCOT, Etnia Barcelona, SALT, Eco, MODO, Ray-Ban, Tiffany & Co., and more.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently high level of patient care and customer experience
- Carry out pre-screening tests (OCT, visual fields, etc.)
- Confidently assist with frame styling and lens dispensing
- Support patients throughout their journey, from booking to collection
- Accurately process orders and maintain patient records
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Maintain and merchandise stock, including new ranges
- Assist with social media and general administration
- Maintain high standards of presentation throughout the practice
About You
- Previous optical experience essential
- Confident, proactive, and reliable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for patient care and retail
Salary & Benefits
- £20,500– £29,500 (pro rata, depending on experience)
