Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced ISTD Tap Teacher to join our vibrant dance academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality tap dance instruction in accordance with ISTD standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students of all ages and abilities. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging tap dance lessons that align with ISTD syllabi and standards.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Prepare students for examinations and performances, ensuring they meet required competencies.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Organise and supervise rehearsals for performances or examinations as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content and organise dance events or workshops.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Promote a positive attitude towards dance and encourage students’ personal growth through the art of tap.
Requirements
- recognised ISTD Tap Teaching Qualification or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience teaching tap dance at various levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Strong understanding of ISTD syllabi, assessment criteria, and examination procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage classroom dynamics.
- Passionate about dance education with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required for classes or performances.
- Previous experience working with diverse age groups is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
