Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system.
- Process administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Assist with billing procedures and processing payments efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations at all times.
- Support the clinical team with administrative duties as required, including preparing documents and managing correspondence.
Qualifications
- Prior office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar programmes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
- A proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience within a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to patient care through efficient administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the medical practice.
