Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Driver to join our construction and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely across various sites, ensuring the smooth movement of materials and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and familiarity with excavators. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while working in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials on-site
- Assist with loading and unloading lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment
- Assist with the operation of excavators when required, supporting excavation tasks as part of the project workflow
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence with relevant telehandler certification
- Proven experience operating telehandlers in a construction or industrial setting
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience working with excavators is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
