Due to continued growth and our ever expanding services, Cherish UK are currently recruiting for a Administrator to join our Head Office based HR team.

Cherish are one of the north west’s leading care providers. With offices in Blackpool, Leigh, Rochdale and Trafford we work with local authorities and the NHS to support vulnerable members of our community to remain living independently within their own homes. Our services include Home Care, Supported Living, Children's Care and Outreach Support. Working with both vulnerable adults and children our staff team work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure that all our clients are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
The Role:
Working alongside a well established HR team you will be responsible for completing administration tasks. Initially you will be additional support to the existing admin team before undertaking your own specific areas of responsibility. This vital role ensures that the team are able to work efficiently and can suitably support the Service Managers in the management of their staff teams. The goal of the role is for it too grow into a more advanced HR role where the individual would begin to deal with more advanced HR duties, such as Employee relation queries, and sickness and conduct process involvement as an example.
Key duties will include:
- The processing of new applicants in line with Safer Recruitment protocols. This includes: Applying for references, Right to work checks and DBS checks
- The creation and maintenance of the employee files
- The maintenance of employee records
- Ensuring employment related information is updated annually
- To provide administrative support during transfers under the TUPE Regulations
- Sickness and Capability policy management
- HR support with delivery of our Grievance, Disciplinary and performance management procedures
- Issuing of contracts
- Ensuring our regulatory compliance
- Maternity/ Paternity / Adoption leave
As the main point of contact within the team you will be responsible for ensuring all enquires are responded to in a timely manner.
The Person:
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, process and takes pride in the perfect employee file. They will be able to work as part of a team, with excellent time management and organisation skills. Whilst some HR experience would be beneficial it is not necessary as full training will be provided.

It is preferable that candidates have good PC skills (Microsoft packages) with strong data entry skills and ideally experience working with HR systems (e.g. Access People Planner, Workday etc.)
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
