About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and values‑driven Home Care Manager (Registered Manager) to lead our CQC regulated Home Care Service. You’ll ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care while driving strong governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead the Home Care Service to meet all CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care with strong governance and compliance systems.
- Oversee incident reporting, safeguarding, and quality improvements, including review of out‑of‑hours activity.
Staff Management & Workforce Governance
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision, and support to the Home Care team.
- Manage recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Identify performance issues early and work with the HR Advisor on any formal HR processes.
Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Evaluation
- Lead audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement plans.
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and reviews are accurate and up to date.
- Analyse performance data and feedback to drive service quality.
External Partnerships & Communication
- Build strong relationships with health professionals, commissioners, and safeguarding teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients and families to ensure needs and preferences are met.
- Support smooth referrals and integrated working with community services.
- Lead the ongoing delivery of a proactive marketing approach for the Homecare service, strengthening local visibility and increasing referrals and enquiries.
Training, Development & Professional Standards
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation, best practice, and CQC expectations.
- Promote a learning culture and ensure staff complete mandatory and refresher training.
- Participate in supervision, appraisal, and service development.

You are values‑driven, calm under pressure and confident working independently. You understand how to balance compassionate care with safe, well‑governed service delivery.
You will have:
- Level 5 Leadership in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks
- Leadership experience in domiciliary or regulated adult social care.
- Skilled in managing assessments, care plans, safeguarding, and quality processes.
- Strong grasp of CQC KLOEs, governance, risk, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of health & safety, infection control, and information governance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Compassionate, professional, resilient, and committed to high‑quality care.
- Reflective, accountable, and confident in decision‑making.
- Enhanced DBS and ability to travel locally.
