We’re looking for an enthusiastic Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Working area of support
- Cambridgeshire / South Lincolnshire
Operational base
- Chatteris depot, Cambridgeshire
Role
To diagnose, repair, prepare, service, and maintain a range of agricultural machinery. Record and justify work carried out using mobile phone app. Working predominately on site and at times in depot. Undertake mandatory manufacturer’s training courses on-line in depot and at manufacturers venues. Work to main dealer working principals following correct procedures to achieve quality and efficiency. To deliver industry leading support to our customers.
Responsibilities
- To diagnose, repair, prepare, service, and maintain a range of agricultural machinery, with ability to diagnose technical transmissions/engines/hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Use IT system to diagnose faults where applicable and file reports to manufacturers.
- Complete digital job cards with high level of detail and accuracy in a timely manner.
- Obtain necessary parts for repairs from parts department.
Essential requirements
- Valid full driver’s licence.
- Able to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Can do attitude to resolve issues.
- Follow the company’s health and safety policy and procedures at all times.
- Confident communication skills to internal and external contacts.
- Carry out daily maintenance to company vehicle.
- Maintain acceptable levels of standards and discipline.
- A degree of flexibility required to working hours as there is a requirement to respond to out-of-hours call outs and work overtime.
Ideal Experience
- Engineer: 2 years (preferred)
- NVQ or related qualifications (preferred)

- Salary competitive dependent on experience. Basic working hours 39 hours per week Monday to Friday (plus overtime to meet seasonal demands and out of hours support).
