Cloisters Café & Garden at Chichester Cathedral
£12.71 per hour (NMW/COMPETITIVE PAY DOE £8.00 ph - £12.71 ph)
Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Seasoned has recently opened a new Café within the 600-year-old Cloisters at Chichester Cathedral.
The venue will operate 7 days a week but this role is Monday - Friday only, encompassing breakfast, lunch, hot snacks, homemade bakes and afternoon teas all prepared fresh on site from local suppliers with the freedom and scope to write our own menus.
The role
We are looking for new team members to welcome our guests with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring their experience is one to remember.
The day to day
- Utilising the till. Handling of cash/card orders at till point.
- Make barista style coffee (training will be given)
- Assisting the guest with their food and drink requests.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
- Helping to maintain and clean and tidy Café and garden.
- General cleaning duties throughout the day.
- Assisting customers with any dietary requests.
Communication
- To communicate effectively with our guests.
- Responsible for effectively communicating with team on all levels.
- To answer any queries related to the daily menu to guests who need any advice.
- To be polite at all times to customers and other members of team.
Dress Code
- To wear the correct uniform at all times.
- To ensure your uniform is clean and ironed.
- Never wear jewellery or make up, in line with food hygiene regulations.
Health and Safety
- To show responsibility to others where health and safety is concerned.
- Ensure you attend all training courses offered to you.
- To follow all health and safety rules laid down.
General and Other Duties
- Undertake any reasonable duties as dictated by the Manager that are within skills and capabilities.
