Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in maintenance, repair, and customer service. This role requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The Handyman will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on local authority houses
- Perform painting/decorating
- Undertake basic carpentry
- Supervise junior staff or apprentices when necessary, providing guidance and support.
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage, showcasing leadership capabilities.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
