We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated practitioner to take on the role of Setting-Based Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) within our setting. This is a key leadership role supporting children with additional needs to achieve the best possible outcomes, working closely with staff, families, and external professionals.
Working hours- Full time 4/5 days (30-38 hours)
Salary - as above pro rata
Key Responsibilities :
· Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting
· Support practitioners in identifying and meeting children’s individual needs
· Complete and coordinate EHCP requests, reviews, and supporting documentation
· Monitor, track, and report SEND data, progress, and intervention outcomes to
leadership
· Maintain accurate SEND records, support plans, and statutory paperwork
· Work in partnership with parents/carers and outside agencies
· Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice, and local
authority guidance
· Promote inclusive practice throughout the setting
· Support applications for inclusion funding and other relevant SEND support pathways
