Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our professional cleaning team. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial experience and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. 20.5 hours a week, Monday to Saturday.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, windows, restrooms, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all areas are serviced regularly and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to the relevant personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the proper handling and disposal of waste materials.
- Use specialised cleaning tools or machinery where required, ensuring safe operation at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Good organisational skills and reliability in completing assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Physical fitness to perform manual cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and professional approach when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work during scheduled shifts, which may include early mornings or evenings depending on client needs.
