Kitchen Porter
Overview:
Join our team at The Lord Crewe Hotel, in the heart of Bamburgh known for its locally sourced food and exceptional service. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, supporting the chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations in the kitchen area
- Support the chefs during service by keeping work areas clean and stocked
- Dispose of waste properly and adhere to recycling guidelines
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
Skills:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to support colleagues
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
