Summary
Summit Cafe at Tiso Outdoor Experience are looking for a Senior Kitchen Assistant. The position will be 5 days from 7, 30-35 hours per week. Shifts will be between the hours of 8.30 and 16.30, no evening work is required. Shifts will include every weekend apart from booked holidays.
Responsibilities
2 days will be running a stand alone kitchen, while the kitchen manager has days off. These days will be between the hours of 8.30 and 16.30. Duties include:
- Making soup and scones in the morning
- Prep for the day ahead as required
- Running smooth service of the kitchen throughout trading hours
- Upkeep of organisation and food safety standards throughout
- Taking part and delegating cleaning tasks for weekly and monthly schedules
3 days will be in the washroom, shifts these days will be between the hours of 10 and 16.30, or 11.30 and 16.30, day dependant. Duties include:
- Washing dishes throughout shift
- Putting away deliveries safely and efficiently
- Helping with prep as required, and portioning of cakes safely for freezer
- Close down of washroom and adhering to cleaning schedules
Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential to this role. Understanding food safety practices and hygiene standards is also required. The ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and multi task calmly is also essential to this role. Ability to communicate well and work as part of a small team is essential.
