We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA & Stock Controller to join our operations team. This role combines quality assurance responsibilities with stock control duties to ensure products meet company and customer standards while maintaining accurate inventory levels.
The successful candidate will play a key role in product quality checks, stock rotation, inventory accuracy, and supporting smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Carry out daily quality inspections on incoming and outgoing fresh produce
- Ensure products meet company specifications and food safety standards
- Monitor product freshness, shelf life, temperature, and condition
- Record and report any quality issues, damages, or non-conformances
- Work closely with suppliers and warehouse teams to resolve quality concerns
- Support compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Maintain accurate QA documentation and audit records
Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
- Perform regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure correct stock rotation using FIFO procedures
- Coordinate stock movements within the warehouse
- Assist with goods receiving, checking deliveries against purchase orders
- Minimise waste and identify slow-moving or short-dated stock
- Liaise with purchasing and sales teams regarding stock availability
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in QA, stock control or warehouse environment
- Experience working with fresh produce
- Good understanding of food safety and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good numerical and computer skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work early mornings and/or weekends when required
- Ability to lift 25kg (potatoes not weights!)
Desirable
- Experience using ISSAC software
- Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene regulations
- Forklift licence
- Experience working in SALSA or BRC accredited warehouse

Monday - Friday
7am - 4pm
