At Godfrey Care, we support adults with complex learning difficulties, including
autism, and behaviours that can be verbally and physically challenging. We
provide person-centred care, tailored to each individual, helping people live
fulfilling, independent, and meaningful lives.
This is a hands-on role for people who understand that supporting others isn’t always easy — but is always meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete relevant audits, health and safety checks and supervisions with your team.
- Assist support staff where required or work alone with the person we support.
- As a senior member of the team, you will promote good practice at all times and be a positive role model.
- You will support and guide your team to work in person centred approaches and maximise the opportunities for the people we support.
- Providing support that is respectful, promotes dignity, independence and enablement.
- Communicating with the people you support using appropriate communication methods.
- Assisting with the individual care, including personal care.
- To work with the management team to implement transition plans for people joining our service, developing and implementing their care and support plans.
- Assisting the people we support with household activities.
- Recording and completing any appropriate documentation.
- Maintaining training, compliance, and support of staff through co-ordination and completion of supervisions.
- Liaising with the family and other professionals involved in the lives of the people we support.
- Completing weekly audits in line with company policies, and Quality assurance.

- Have experience supporting adults with complex needs
- Are resilient, patient, and empathetic
- Communicate well and work confidently as part of a team
- Genuinely care about making a difference, even on challenging days
Essential:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour (learning disabilities)
- Previous training in one or multiple of the following CPI, MAPA, MAYBO or NAPPI (or similar)
- UK driving licence (If a driver)
- Proven experience in supervising a team.
- NVQ or Level 3 diploma in Health and social care is preferred.
