Apprentice Early Years Practitioner
Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship
Rosewood Children’s Day Nursery, Chipping Norton
Job type: Apprenticeship
Hours: Full time preferred, although part time may be considered for the right candidate
Location: Chipping Norton
Earn while you learn and begin your career in early years.
Rosewood Children’s Day Nursery is a warm, welcoming and growing nursery in Chipping Norton. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable apprentices to join our team and work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to gain hands-on experience while being supported by experienced practitioners, room leaders and managers.
As an apprentice, you will not be expected to take on the same level of responsibility as a qualified practitioner. You will be guided, supported and trained as you build your confidence, skills and knowledge.
What you will do
· You will support the team with children’s play, learning and daily care. This may include joining in with stories, songs, creative activities, outdoor play, mealtimes, rest times and routines.
· You will learn about the EYFS, safeguarding, child development and how to create a safe, happy and nurturing environment for young children.
What we are looking for
· We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, reliable and keen to learn. You should enjoy spending time with young children, work well as part of a team and be open to feedback and training.
· Previous childcare experience is helpful, but not essential.
Why choose Rosewood?
· Earn while you learn
· Work towards a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification
· Support from experienced early years professionals
· A friendly and welcoming nursery team
· A beautiful nursery setting with outdoor spaces
· Future progression opportunities as the nursery grows
· Opportunities for further training, including Forest School, SEND, safeguarding and child development
· Paid and subsidised staff social events
· Staff discount card for use in the local community
· Free parking
· Bus links
Rosewood is currently planning its next stage of expansion, creating exciting future opportunities for staff to grow with us. Over time, there may be opportunities to progress to qualified practitioner, room leader, Forest School, or other early years roles.
Later this year, we are also planning to introduce an on site wraparound service for primary aged children, including after school care and holiday clubs, as part of our wider plans to support families and grow our provision.
Safeguarding
Rosewood Children’s Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All successful applicants will be subject to safer recruitment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and any convictions that would not be filtered before the interview. If successful, this information will be checked against the Disclosure and Barring Service records before the appointment is confirmed.
