We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, experienced and inspiring Deputy Nursery Manager to join our passionate team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a warm and welcoming nursery, supporting children to learn, grow, and flourish while helping to lead and develop a talented team of practitioners.
Responsibilities:
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- supporting the day-to-day management of the nursery
- leading and motivating a team of early years professionals
- ensuring outstanding care and learning experiences for all children
- supporting staff development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision
- maintaining compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures, and nursery policies
- building positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals
- taking responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence
- contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality standards across the setting
What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from candidates who have:
- a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above (minimum requirement)
- previous experience in a deputy manager's role
- strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
- excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- a genuine passion for providing exceptional early years education and care
- the ability to inspire, support, and develop others
- a positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach

Hours: 38-42.5
Salary: starting from £33,000 (depending on working hours, experience & qualifications)
Start Date: September 2026
