Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window and Door Fitter to head a new team van and tools supplied . The successful candidate will be responsible for installing windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a wide range of construction skills within a professional environment, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. Applicants should have a minimum 5 years experience and be comfortable working with various tools and materials. Experience in Upvc aluminium , and composite doors . The ability to install conservatory roofs advantage but not essential.
ability to do basic Brickwork , electrical work,and plastering will be considered advantageous. The position is paye with holiday entitlement and suitable for individuals committed to high standards . Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install windows and doors according to project specifications and schematics
- Ensure all installations are secure, weatherproof, and compliant with safety standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment effectively and safely
- Assist with the preparation of surfaces through plastering or masonry work as needed
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing installations
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during installation processes
- Read technical drawings, schematics, or construction plans to ensure accurate fitting
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including grinders, sanders, or welding equipment
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, or masonry is desirable but not essential
- Strong understanding of the window and door industry .
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle lifting heavy materials and work at heights safely
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
