The rate of pay is £15.06 per hour
Main Responsibilities:
Your main tasks as a Machine Setter will be to:

Undertake daily checks on sealing equipment and Bizerbas
-
Ensure good startups in sealing departments
-
Grease all machinery in sealing room (portions and av - including conveyors) and heat tunnel chains
-
Replace printheads, drive belts, motors, bearings and adjustment of Bizerbas
-
Carry out Proseal tooling checks and reconditioning, belts, bearings and bushes replacement
-
Adjust Proseal programs for best efficiency
-
Carry out fault finding and programs basic adjustment on Metal detector's.

Secondary request sheets relevant to skill level, basic fabrication when required
-
Problem solve for OCM and printer’s
-
Support with projects and new line installation
-
Keep an up-to-date list of machinery, tooling sets etc. and any relevant issues

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.
You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat
You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets
