Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic After-school and Holiday Club Lead to organise and oversee engaging activities for children during after-school hours and holiday periods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young learners. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise children during after-school sessions and holiday clubs, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of educational, recreational, and creative activities tailored to different age groups.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation, socialisation, and personal growth among children.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and organisational standards.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff or volunteers involved in club activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate programme effectiveness and suggest improvements for future sessions.
- Hold a Full, clean UK Driving licence to enable you to drive the company mini bus to pick up from our local schools.
Experience
- Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles working with children in an organised setting.
- Prior leadership experience in managing after school clubs or holiday programmes is highly desirable.
- Driving experience is preferred to facilitate transportation arrangements when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging activities that cater to diverse needs and interests of children aged 4–11 years.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding policies, behaviour management strategies, and organisational health & safety procedures. Working hours
Mon - Friday 2.30pm - 5.30pm term time only
Mon, Wed and Friday 8.30 am - 5.30pm School Holidays
These are negotiable for the right candidate.
Pay: £13.65-£14.10 per hour
