We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to students across settings. This role involves working one-to-one and in small groups, including supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to students to help them reach their full potential
- Working closely with the class teacher and support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Supporting the creation and adaptation of resources to meet the learning needs of SEND students
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting on student progress and achievements to the SENCo and, where appropriate, parents
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that supports students’ social and emotional well-being
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
- Hold a relevant qualification in education or teaching assistance (preferred but not essential)
- Have experience supporting children with SEND in a school, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring setting (highly desirable)
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Be available to work immediately, Monday to Friday
