Laser Setter Operator Nights

Pay Rate: £17.00 – £19.00 per hour
Shift: Nights – Monday to Thursday or Sunday to Wednesday
About the Company
Our client is a well-established and busy manufacturing business based in Swadlincote. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Laser Setter Operator to join their night shift team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working with Amada fibre laser machinery to produce high-quality components to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating Amada fibre laser machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting correct machine parameters and adjusting settings to achieve the highest quality cut
- Separating cut parts into kits and palletising for the next process
- Measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Carrying out first-off checks
- Performing routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Working independently and using own initiative within a busy production environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience setting and operating laser machinery
- Experience operating Amada fibre laser machines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment
