First Active 365 are looking for experienced and reliable Complex Care Support Workers to support two care packages in the ME19 and ME9 areas.
These packages require staff who are confident, compassionate, and able to follow care plans carefully. Applicants must have relevant care experience and be confident supporting clients with complex health needs.
Available Packages
ME19 Package – Female Support Worker Required
We are looking for female staff to support a client with:
- Epilepsy
- Cerebral palsy with left-sided hemiplegia
- Learning difficulties and significant neuro-cognitive developmental delay
- Visual impairment
- Poor safety awareness
- Mobility and supervision needs
Strong epilepsy experience is essential for this package.
The client requires support with safety supervision, personal care, toileting hygiene, mobility, dressing, day-to-day independence, and monitoring due to epilepsy risks. The client can walk short distances but requires supervision throughout the day and night due to safety awareness, cognition, and seizure risk.
ME9 Package – Complex Respiratory Support
We are also looking for staff to support a client in the ME9 area who requires respiratory monitoring and Non-Invasive Ventilation/NIV support.
Care needs include:
- NIV/CPAP support via nasal prongs
- Oxygen saturation monitoring
- Monitoring heart rate and respiratory presentation
- Following ventilation settings and protocols
- Checking equipment, tubing, circuits, and nasal prongs
- Monitoring for air leaks and skin integrity
- Completing hourly logs and accurate documentation
- Recognising and escalating signs of respiratory distress
- Following emergency breathing and ventilation plans
Staff must be confident with NIV/CPAP, respiratory observations, oxygen saturation monitoring, and following clinical care plans.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous care experience
- Confidence supporting complex care needs
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions
- Good documentation skills
- Up-to-date compliance or willingness to update compliance before starting
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- Epilepsy and seizure monitoring
- Cerebral palsy
- Learning disabilities
- Personal care
- Safety supervision
- NIV/CPAP
- Oxygen saturation monitoring
- Respiratory observations
- Complex care
Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
Experience:
- Ventilator: 1 year (preferred)
- PEG Feed: 1 year (preferred)
- Suctioning: 1 year (preferred)
- Epilepsy: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
